

Jolene Stroud Jacks age 68 died peacefully in her Spicewood home on Friday, September 23, 2016. She is survived by her mother, Ruth F. Stroud, her older brother Ray Stroud and three younger sisters: Judy Stroud, Kathy Nail and Donna Edmundson. She leaves behind her daughters Shelly Penner and Melissa Jacks, their spouses Jon Penner and Christine Chamberlin as well as three beautiful granddaughters: Sera Penner, Ava and Katharine Jacks. Jolene also leaves behind the father of her children, Harvey Jacks and his wife Ginny. She has many family members and close friends who are too numerous to list here. Jolene joins her father Raymond Elmer Stroud, her niece Katherine Stroud, friends, family and family pets in Heaven.
Jolene was born on May 9, 1948 in Quanah, Texas and grew up in Erick, Oklahoma. After graduating from Erick High School she went to business college and when traveling home one weekend with a friend met Harvey Allen Jacks and the two married on February 3, 1968. The young couple settled in the Tulsa area and began raising their two daughters. After a short stay in the Dallas area, the family moved to Spicewood, Texas in the fall of 1983. It was here in the heart of the Texas Hill Country that Jolene found her home. Jolene will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Jolene's Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 4:00pm at the Vintage Villas overlooking Lake Travis, 4209 Eck Lane, Austin, TX 78734
