Linda Ann Parker

Linda Patterson Parker passed away unexpectedly Sunday August 9th. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert Herrick Parker, her children: Chris Parker and wife Bridget Dunlap of Austin Texas, David Parker and wife Kathy Parker of Lakeway, Texas and Lee Ann Haran and husband Michael Haran of Mansfield Texas. She is also survived by her greatest blessings, her grandchildren: Preston Parker, Tyler Parker, Macey Parker, Dallas Parker, Madison Haran, Mackenzie Haran, Jack Parker, and Asher Dunlap. She is also survived by her two sisters Pamela Beach, and Jennifer Reed and husband Walter Reed and their families, and her favorite four legged friend Buddy.

Linda was born in Inglewood, New Jersey on January 7, 1943. She moved to Texas in 1961where she completed high school at Kincaid in Houston, then attended The University of Texas in Austin. She then went to work as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines. Her work career was cut short when she fell in love and was married to Bob. She then moved on to a profession at which she excelled, which is motherhood. Chris, David, and Lee Ann were blessed to have a mother so caring and always so interested in their lives.

She made such a positive impact on others, often volunteering her time to help those in need. Linda also loved being with her many friends and enjoying any social activity. She was an accomplished quilter and enjoyed playing bridge. She was a very active member of St. Mathew's Episcopal Church. She was a member of the Altar Guild, Good Faith and the incoming President of the Daughter's of the King.

Linda will be missed by many friends and family and others she touched in her everyday life. She had a smile and a love for life that was contagious and a deep and unshakable faith in God. We take comfort knowing this is God's plan and Linda is among loved ones who passed before her.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14th at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 8134 Mesa Dr., Austin, TX 78759
