

Peggy was born in Houston, Texas on 11 November 1937. Her parents were William Frank Calohan and Dorothy Claire Brennan Calohan. Peggy had one sister, Virginia Claire Calohan. She grew up in Houston, Texas and Laredo, Texas – graduating from Martin High School in Laredo in 1956. Throughout Peggy's life, she lived in Houston, Laredo, San Antonio and Lakeway, Texas.
Peggy was presented to,The Society of Martha Washington in Laredo in 1956, of which her mother was a member of. She was always heavily involved with her children and her grandchildren. She was an elementary school PTA member, Sunday school teacher, Bible study leader and church volunteer, all during her adult life.
Peggy is pre-deceased by both of her parents, her sister, her aunt Virginia Harrell, her first husband, USAF Captain Charles Robert Curry, second husband, USAF Captain Edward James Owens and step-daughter Carol Jean Hopkins.
Peggy's surviving family include her daughters; Sue Curry Boukercha and son-in-law, Youcef Boukercha, Sharon Curry Newton, Patricia Owens Hoenig and son-in-law, Walter Glenn Hoenig; step-children, Edward James Owens, Jr. and wife, Joyce Owens, Alison Owens Blum and husband, Rod Blum, grandchildren, Myriem Boukercha, Linda Boukercha, Sarah Radecker, Jonathan Wunsch, Heather Wunsch, Luke Newton, William Hoenig, Rebecca "Paige" Hoenig, Jack Hoenig; numerous step-grandchildren; her niece Rebecca Robert, M.D.; and her cousin, Dr. Andrew Harrell.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, 5 September 2015 at The Lakeway Church beginning at 11:00 a.m. The church is located at 2203 Lakeway Blvd. Lakeway, Texas 78734. A luncheon-reception will follow at the Live Oak Golf Course Club, located at 510 Lakeway Drive – Lakeway, Texas 78734.
