Michael Joseph Samaniego

Born on June 26, 1971, in El Paso, Texas, Michael was the beloved son of Joe Samaniego and Marty Vermales.

Michael was truly one of a kind; larger than life, full of warmth, and always the first to welcome others in. He had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel at home, whether they were lifelong friends or meeting him for the first time. His laughter could fill a room, and his generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Above all, Michael was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loyal friend.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Brandy Samaniego, and his cherished son, Bryce Samaniego. He is also survived by his mother, Marty Vermales, his stepmother, Rose Samaniego, his brothers, Adrian Samaniego (Michele) and Aaron Samaniego (Megan), and his stepsiblings Laura and Gene Anthony Gonzales. He was a proud uncle to Mackenzie and Gavin, children of Adrian and Michele, and to Clara and Sebastian, children of Aaron and Megan.

A service celebrating Michael’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home at 411 Ranch Road 620 South, Lakeway, Texas. Guests are encouraged to wear bright, cheerful colors to honor Michael’s vibrant spirit and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
