Nancy Jeannine Jones Turbeville went home to our Savior on Sunday, October 16, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. A celebration of life service will be held at Austin Ridge Bible Church on Monday, October 24th, at 3:00 PM.
Nancy was born on October 19, 1951, in Dallas, Texas to Kathleen and Raymond Jones. Nancy graduated from Lake Highlands High School, where she was fondly known as the drill team's "Miss High Kick.” Nancy was also a proud graduate of the University of Texas. She has called Austin her home for the last 25 years and was a member of Hyde Park Baptist and Austin Ridge Bible Church.
Nancy was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a true beauty, inside and out, who loved her family and friends deeply. She was passionate about serving and always put others' needs before her own. She was a fabulous hostess and loved to decorate for the holidays. She made all things beautiful. Her grandchildren knew her as "Nanny" and will forever remember Nanny's yearly tradition of making Christmas candy houses. She went above and beyond to not only make her grandkids feel loved, but also everyone she came in contact with. Nancy took after her mother, Kathy, and was passionate about flowers and gardening. She was known for her beautiful arrangements and her picture perfect garden. She loved spending time outside enjoying nature and soaking up God’s beautiful creation. Nancy carried her love into the world and showed all of those around her how to live. She was easy to talk to, always encouraging, and loved Jesus with all of her heart.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Kathleen, sister, Susan Miller, step-father Gene Coppedge, grandson Jack Turbeville, grandson David McGee.
