Phillip Kirt Merritt

Tripoli, Libya on an air force base to his parents Willis and Susan Merritt on November the 14th 1961. He

was raised in Lancaster California, a graduate of Antelope Valley High School and San Diego State

University where he earned degrees in business and computer science.

Phillip and his wife Dana, were married for thirty-five years and raised their children in Lakeway, Texas.

He was a member of The Emmaus Catholic Church and served as an usher and RCIA administrator for

many years. He worked for BMC software for over thirty years where he had many friends.

He is survived by wife Dana and children Megan, William, Phillip, Rebecca, Aaron and James. As well as

his ten beloved grandchildren and his brothers Jeffrey, Peter and Patrick Merritt of Lancaster, California.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Willis and Susan Merritt and his brother in law

Danny Crowder.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and everyone who knew him.

A funeral Mass will be held at Emmaus Catholic Church in Lakeway, Texas on February 16th at 1100 am.
