Randy Marcel DuValle 58, of Austin, a beloved father, brother, son, uncle and friend, was reunited with his heavenly Father, surrounded by family, on February 9, 2025 when he received his ultimate healing.
Randy was born in Fort Worth, Texas on March 7, 1966 to Lawrence Marcel DuValle and Brenda Clark Rowan. He grew up in Caldwell, Texas, attended Caldwell schools and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1984. He continued his education at Texas A&M University and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where he graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. While at UT Southwestern Medical Center, he met his future wife. After graduating from Physical Therapy School, Randy married Linda Daniels DuValle, and together they established their family with twin sons, Jonathan Blake DuValle and Benjamin Cole DuValle.
Randy had a passion for Physical Therapy and entrepreneurship. He and Linda started several health care and real estate businesses. In addition to running multiple businesses, their family made traveling, camping, and church a priority. In fact, he took the boys camping when they were 3 months old in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
Randy loved traveling, especially touring New Zealand and Europe. He loved outdoor adrenaline activities including skydiving, bungee jumping, skiing, boating, hiking and whitewater rafting. He also loved to run marathons. His passion for running took him across country to run marathons including Chicago, New York, Austin, Dallas, and Houston.
He was known for his multiple mischievous pranks, but still had a caring heart for others.
Randy was diagnosed with glioblastoma in December, 2014. He fought his battle with glioblastoma valiantly including 2 surgeries, radiation, and 3 rounds of chemotherapy over the course of 10 years. During his battle, he participated in Central Texas Head for the Cure 5k fundraisers and assisted others battling glioblastoma.
Randy is survived by his sons Jonathan Blake DuValle and Benjamin Cole DuValle of Austin. He is also survived by his mother Brenda Clark Rowan, husband Robert Rowan and his sisters Rhonna and husband Haden Hollis, and Robbye and husband Billy Morsko of Caldwell. He is also survived by his former wife, caregiver, and friend Linda DuValle of Austin, his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved dog Ruger.
He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Marcel DuValle, grandparents Troy and Lorene Clark, and Inez and Howard DuValle.
