Sandra James, 77, of Lakeway TX passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at home from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Sandra was born March 6, 1944 in Ottumwa Iowa to John and Mary Snoddy. After high school Sandy moved to Des Moines IA where she worked as a dental assistant. She met her husband, Frank James, on a blind date and they were married in 1965. Throughout their marriage of 55 years they were privileged to make friends and to live in Des Moines, Honolulu, San Francisco, St. Louis, Houston, New York City, Chicago and finally Austin in 2010.
Sandra is survived by her husband Frank James, 3 children: Bradley James, Christopher James, and Julie McGarr, 7 grandchildren, 1 sister and 3 brothers.
Sandy was a beautiful lady, loving and supportive wife, incredible mother and grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her.
She received Art Degrees from both the Art Institute of Houston and San Francisco.
Sandy was a talented artist and designed and manufactured a line of womens clothes which were sold in the major department stores and boutiques.
A Celebration of Life will be held at home in Lakeway and also, this summer in Iowa for friends and family.
