Valerie Jane Shupp, 48, of Austin, Texas, passed away on December 9, 2025, after a decades-long battle with cancer. A devoted wife and loving mother, Valerie’s strength and warmth left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.
Valerie’s determined spirit, resilience, and compassion will be remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing in her life. She is survived by her husband, Matthew; their two daughters, Angelina and Isabella; her parents, Kris and Mitsuko Karandy; and her sister Frances Karandy.
A celebration of Valerie's life will be held on Friday December 19, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home at 411 Ranch Rd 620 South, Lakeway, TX 78734. All who loved Valerie are welcome to attend and honor her memory.

A Memorial service for Valerie will be held on Saturday, December 27, at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South & Park Cemetery at 11655 SW 117th Ave, Miami, FL 33186. The Viewing will start at 10:30 a.m. The Memorial Service will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the Graveside Service at 2:30 p.m. All who loved Valerie are welcome to gather in remembrance and honor her memory.
