

Virginia (Ginnie) Carol Lewis, age 78, passed away in Lakeway, Texas on September 10, 2016. Born on March 19, 1938 in Rochester, New York, she was the daughter of baseball sportswriter Alfred C Weber and Doris Goings, now both deceased. Her brother, Peter Breck, nick named "Buddy," also deceased, was an actor and best known for his role as "Nick Barkley" on the well known western television series, The Big Valley.
Known as one of the most popular gals in her class at John Marshall High School in Rochester, Virginia was head of the cheerleading squad and remembered as a petite power house who was a positive influence to many of her classmates and dear friends. It's also where she met her sweetheart, Richard a.k.a. "Steel" who played center on the football team. They later married after high school graduation.
Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 54 years, Richard Harley Lewis. She is survived by her sister, Judy and her husband Dieter Quitsch; her grown children, daughter Laura Ann Lewis of Austin, Texas; son Randal Milton Lewis of Bee Cave, Texas; and Juliet Marie Wahl and her husband Joe Wahl of Dripping Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Tarah Alexandra Pollock of Los Angeles, California, Victoria Elizabeth Pollock of Austin, Texas and Baron Hutton Pulitzer, also of Austin; her beloved cat, Oliver; plus a number of other loving relatives and close friends.
Virginia's life will be celebrated on Friday, October 21st at 3pm at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Dripping Springs, Texas (26160 Ranch Road 12). Gifts of floral arrangements are welcome and may be delivered to the church office by no later than 11am on the day of the service.
