

LOVE, Betty Lucille (Hudson)
Age 76, of Lancaster, California, entered Heaven’s Gate, Tuesday, March 12, 2013, following a lengthy battle with Diabetes and Cancer, and quietly went home to be with the Lord. She was surrounded by family in her home.
Betty was born May 17, 1936, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Walter C. and Odessa Hudson. Betty grew up in Purcell, Okla., where she attended public schools and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. Upon graduating High School, Betty pursued a Cosmetology Degree from Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma. She later married the love of her life, Orbin C. Love, Sr., USAF (retired), where they had eight children (three deceased). After excelling as a homemmaker/hairdresser, and a military wife until her children were of school age, she was then employed by the Muroc Unified School District as a Special Education Teacher’s Aide, where she served faithfully for the next 28 years, and retiring from Desert High School at Edwards AFB, Calif., in 1996. The love of her life was serving God, and she served Him wherever He took her in the world, most specifically as a Choir Director, a Musician, a Sunday School Teacher and Church Secretary.
Betty leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 54 years; her children; Berrenda Love-Lewis (Mark) of Chicago Ill., Orbin C. Jr. (Anna) of Bakersfield, Calif., Rev. Kelvin L. Sr. (Trudy) of Houston, Texas, Michele Trapani, of Lancaster, Calif., Christina Foster (Marco), of Albany Ga., 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Visitation Services for Mrs. Love will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2013 at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, 808 E. Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster, Calif., with Memorial Service to be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013, at First Southern Baptist Church 603 E. Lancaster Blvd., Lancaster, Calif.,
Oklahoma services will include a Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2013 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home, 127 S. Canadian St., Purcell, Oklahoma, with Funeral Service to be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2013, also at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery, in Purcell.
Oklahoma attendees may send flowers directly to Wilson-Little Funeral Home; California attendees, the family suggests to please donate In lieu of flowers, in Betty’s memory, to the American Diabetes Association and/or the national Cancer Institute.
