

Born on March 6th 1949 in Jackson ,Tennessee to the union of George and Ruby Mae Simes. He attended McNeal Elementary School and graduated from Roger's High School in 1968.
At the age of 12 he was burnt at the gas station owned by his father. Charles also had a car accident and 17 years old he graduated from high school from his hospital bed. He left Canto, MS in 1969 and moved to Chicago were he worked for Chrysler Corporation.
Charles met Edna Woods shortly after arriving in Chicago and they had a daughter Deanna Woods born on November 8, 1970.
He owned a Car Wash / Detail Shop on 69th and Halasted where he worked with his brothers.
Soon after he moved to California and began working at a Detail Company (Truco USA). In 1980 after working there he finally retired.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother who passed away on February 18, 2009 and his father who passed away in October 16, 2001. He also shared many long traveling vacations to different cities with his grandmother Elizabeth(Hon) Brim who passed away on February 17, 2008. Charles also lost two brothers Field Terry Simes in April of 1999 and George Edwards Simes in November of 2012.
He leaves to cherish his in memory his daughter Deanna Woods and her four children Kenan, Edward, Sharonda and Kadeezia. His brothers Willie (Annette) Simes, Curtis (Betty) Simes, Larry (Mary) Simes, Percy (Mary) Simes, Rut (Rosemary) Simes, Sisters: Edna Simes and Pam Simes.
Charles was also a father to Siretta and Kevin from Chicago nd Andre Chambers of Texas. Seventeen Great Grandchildren with one on the way and a host of cousins, nephew's, nieces and friends.
