Ellouise Marie Bryant was born on Saturday, July 26, 1941 in Elsinore, California to William & Opal Plowman. She went home to be with her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at AV Hospital in Lancaster, California.
Ellouise grew up in Elsinore until the age of 12, when her family moved to San Diego. She attended Sharon Bible School. In 1958, she moved to the Antelope Valley and worked as a teller for Security Pacific Bank and also with Travelers Insurance.
She married Roy Bryant at the age of 18, and dedicated her life to her faith, her husband & raising their two boys, Jeff and Joel.
Ellouise had a strong conviction for prayer, and prayed daily (1 Thessalonians 5).
She loved listening to The Gaither Gospel Family sing praise & worship to her Lord. Her role as a wife & mother was engrained in Ellouise’s character and devotion. She loved and adored her family. She always persevered and was much stronger in mind, body & soul than she ever gave herself credit for, especially after a tragic accident left her a paraplegic and wheelchair bound 43 years ago. Her disability did not limit her from achieving goals and being independent, even learning how to drive.
Ellouise is survived by her two sons, Joel Bryant, of Lancaster, CA & Jeff Bryant of Las Vegas, NV; her sister, Bernadine Clem of Oklahoma & her brother, Stephen Plowman of Savannah, GA; her 2 beautiful grandchildren, MaKenna Breann & Dyllon James Bryant, both of Las Vegas, NV; several nieces, nephews & extended family members. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy & her parents, William & Opal Plowman.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 5-8 PM at Joshua Memorial Chapel with Funeral Services at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, followed by interment at Joshua Memorial Park.
