

Glen Howard Stoddard born February 8, 1922 in Omaha, Nebraska passed away August 10, 2016 in Lancaster, California. Grew up in Iowa and Nebraska. Served in the US Air Force for 18 years. Lived in the Antelope Valley for 40 years. He worked in the Air Force and Construction Drywall in California. Main hobbies were playing cards. Special Accomplishments: Flight Engineer in Air Force, married for 55 years and had 5 children. Survived by sons Glen Howard Stoddard III from Indiana and Lawrence Russell Stoddard from California, daughters Susan Kathleen Stoddard-Higgs from California, Deborah Lyn Stoddard from California and Teresa Jean Stoddard-Hammer from Georgia, grandchildren Danette Higgs-James Higgs, Jonathan Higgs-April Higgs, great grandchildren Brendan Torres-Ivy Torres, Andrew Higgs-Peyton Higgs, Matthew Higgs-Brent Higgs-Seth Higgs, Joshua Jenkins-Michael Hammer, Amy Hammer-Tiffaney Hammer, Grace Jenkins-Zachary Morgan, Faith Coates-Ethan Landy, Evan Jenkins-Sariah Daniel. Parents Glen Stoddard and Ida Grace Stoddard. Grandparents (Maternal) Milton Crabtree & Lila Crabtree (Paternal) Fayett Stoddard & Alice Stoddard. Glen was raised on a farm in Omaha, Nebraska and Humbolt Iowa. Joined the Air Force at age 19 to serve in WWII. Was on the first group of men to sail on the Queen Mary in February 1942. They sailed to Australia, New Gerinla. He was in World War II and Korean War. We moved to California in 1962 when dad was released from the Air Force and lived in Orange California. He began to work in construction as a drywall hanger. He worked with his brothers Clifford and Dwight until he retired at 65 years old. He moved to Lancaster on July 1976 until his death August 2016.
