

At the age of 6 Lee Ora and her 3 younger siblings lost there mother and was raised by family members. Lee Ora and one sister was raised by their grandparents Willie and Lillie Johnson. Overtime the Aunts and Uncles that were still living in the home became more like brothers and sisters as they grew up, Jorena, Richmond, Wayne, Ruby Lee Willie Jr.,William and Melvin Johnson.
After graduating from Mc Laurin High School, Lee Ora left home to explore her horizons where she meet the love of Her life Mr.Tyree Brumfield. Shortly after they were married and to that union they had one child Debrah Brumfield French.
Lee Ora loved children, she was a foster mother for 31 years, two of the last children she had she took legal guardianship and raised them as her own Mona Johnson and Dominic Ruff. In 1990 she started a homeless shelter for women and children in Compton Ca.and became a mother figure to many of the residents that lived there.
Those who have preceded her in death are her beloved husband Tyree Brumfield, both parents Charlie and Ora Lee Byrd, her brother Charles Byrd, her sister Gladys Hines, her Aunts Jorena and Ruby lee and her Uncles Richmond, Melvin,Wayne And William,
Those left to cherish her memories her daughter Debrah Brumfield French (Dana French Sr) Lancaster Ca., sister Evelyn Byrd (Bordentown New Jersey) uncle Willie Johnson Jr.( Florence Ms),
7 grandchildren Dana Jr (April), DeAndre, Krystal (Marquise) ,Dezell ,Tylee ,Molana and Lorana. 7 great grand children Davion, Dana III, Damioni, Danayah, Aniayiah, Kasey and Zion, and 1 great great grandchild Mariah.
She was always a second mother to many of her nieces and nephews Terrance (Punkin),Lawana (Tweety) and Kenneth(Jun Bug) And many more neices, nephews, cousins and friends.
LeeOra was know to many as Big Mama and was known for speaking her mind with no filter attached, We all love you and will miss her loving since of humor and whitty remarks.
