Born in Lima, Peru and survived by his loving wife Kyong Ae Manilla, daughter Claudia Mantilla, daughter Stephanie Mantilla, granddaughter Mya Haley, brother Miguel Mantilla, sister Betzabeth Mantilla, sister Merida Mantilla, brother Victor Mantilla, and sister Peggy Tabuada.
There are not enough words to describe the wonderful man that Manuel Jesus Mantilla “Manny” was. He was the most loving, caring, and honorable husband, parent, son, brother, and friend anyone could ask for. He was an admirable man of strong principles, always positive with the best outlook on life, and saw the good in everyone and everything. He was a very humble and a hard workingman who knew how to provide for his family. He touched our lives with his amazing personality, worldly knowledge, and kind words. Manny was fearless. He traveled the world, experienced all walks of life, loved the ocean, scuba diving, dirt bike riding, music, was fascinated with technology, working on his home and vehicles; it seemed as though there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do or conquer. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, became a business owner, and commercial driver. Manny always expressed how much he loved the Lord, his family, his life, felt so blessed, and never took it for granted. May the Lord keep him, protect him, and love him as dearly as he did his family. He will forever be in our hearts
