Martha Doris Nedd

On February 2, 1943 Martha Doris Washington and brother George Washington were born to Magellan and Clara Washington, in Choudrant, Louisiana. Martha and her brother were the second set of twins born to that union of twelve siblings. Martha gave her Life to Christ at an early age. Martha, was baptized by Pastor W.M. Boyer, of Macedonia Baptist Church in Chourdrant, Louisiana. Martha went to Booker T. Washington Elementary School, in Choudrant, Louisiana. The family relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1955 where she met and fell in love with Lloyd Nedd Jr. in 1959. They later married. To that union was born four children, they are as followed, Sundra Kay Phillips, Sharon Renee Nedd, Alphonso Nedd and Lloyd Nedd III. In 1972 the family moved to Lancaster, California, where she united with Growing Valley Baptist Church, until her departure. Martha, had a love for nature. Martha could tell you anything regarding any animal. Martha loved fishing, camping and all things having to do with the outdoors. Martha, loved fishing, but she could not stand baiting the hook to catch the fish. Martha loved her plants. Growing, Planting and nurturing them. Martha, always had a house full of plants. Martha's love for cooking was demonstrated to family and friends with many delicious dishes throughout her years. Martha is survived by her four children, Sundra Kay Phillips (Gordon), Sharon Renee Nedd, Alphonso Nedd, and Lloyd Nedd III (Aquanette); sisters, Variee Johnson, Avie Veales, Dorothy Rawlins, Sophie Kidd all residing in Los Angeles, California. Louise Warren of Lexington, Ky, Velma Timmons of Phoenix, Az. and brother Willie Washington of Ruston, La., Two Maternal Aunts, L.B. Dawson, of Los Angeles, Ca. and Odell Outley, of West Monroe, La., Fourteen (14) grandchildren, Ten (10) great grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Martha, is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Nedd Jr. parents, Rev. and Mrs. Magellan Washington Sr., brothers, Magellan Jr., Joe, George, and Robert Washington
