I only met Mel a few times through a family member and I remember him as very kind and outgoing. I knew he had served in the military as did I and I admired the fact that he was very regimented in the way he spoke about different subjects. We hit it off and I was very grateful to have known him, again albeit it briefly.  I only learned recently of his passing and I am very sorry to hear that he had passed.  Please accept my heartfelt condolences.  May he rest in peace.

My wife and I were once neighbors of Mel and his wife.  I was always glad to see him when he was outside.  He usually had time to sit down and chat for a while.  I wish we could have seen him , we didn't  know he had been ill, he never mentioned it.  We will miss him and his sense of humor.  Rest in peace for eternity.
