Paige Yvette Mckinney

Paige Y. McKinney was born December 1, 1962 in Oakland Ca. She had a strong religious upbringing attending Bethany Baptist church with her family. She attended grammar, middle and high school in El Cerrito and Berkeley Ca. She attended 2 years at Diablo valley College as well as some computer technology training in the early 80’s. But it was her fondness for children that steered her into the field of early childhood education in which she worked for 3 decades in Northern and Southern Ca.

Paige moved to southern California in 1993 where she continued to work and ultimately met and married Thomas Knuckles in 2002. Thomas remained by her side with love and support until the time of her death.

Paige was full of fun and had a infectious laugh since childhood. She loved concerts, traveling, camping, shopping, music, movies and her beloved teddy bear Gingerbread Bellyman.

Paige is survived by her loving husband (Thomas Knuckles), Grandmother (Laura Hill) Oakland, CA; Aunt, (Denise James) Oakland, Ca; 1st Cousin (Donald R. James II (Carlisa) Mather, Ca; Great Aunt (Velma Childs) South Holland, IL; Great Uncles (James Vanwinkle (Emma) Chicago, IL; (Charles Vanwinkle (Darlene) St. Louis, MO; Sister/friend (Stacey DeBerry) Special Aunts (Vicky Ellis), (Kay DeBerry), the McKinney family, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Ruby L. Dodd and Grandfather Ireland Hill.
