Reginald Louis Bell entered this world on January 15, 1965. He was born to his mother Willie Mae McKinney of Denison TX, and his father Louis Bell of Mobile Al. Reggie was preceded in death by both parents.
He confessed a belief in Christ at an early age. He rededicated his life in confession, asked God to be his Lord and Savior and was baptized in 1995. He united with Martin Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop Alvin W. Martin, Wichita Ks. Reggie loved the Lord and showed it by dedicating himself working in various positions. He loved being an usher and hospitality. He loved being a youth leader, Sunday School Superintendent, bible band student, and whatever he could do for the Lord. He really enjoyed cooking, helping others and volunteering at the homeless shelter as he often did when we moved to Edwards AFB Chapel service. He was truly hurt after he was physically unable to help.
Reginald attended Fremont high school in Los Angeles CA and graduated in 1984. He liked to hang with his friends, building and shooting rockets and mostly learning to cook. At age 5 he would stand on a stool and get instructions from his mom on cooking complete meals. His mother was a great cook and so was he. He received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration, University of Phoenix in 2014, he would say “I’ve got to get it; it’s my job I cannot give up”.
In 1987 on April 7 Reginald left to join the military. He faithfully served in various locations, had over seven deployments and TDYs. His jobs included Logistic Specialist, Deployment Manager, Transportation NCO, Dorm Manager, Project Manager and Contracting Officer’s Representative. He retired April 2007, after 20 years from Active Duty. Because he loved working Reggie starting his new career after just 3 months. He worked as a DoD civilian and government contractor. His last position was Logistics Specialist Northrop Grumman, Palmdale Ca.
While on active-duty, Reginald met Linda Phillips in 1991 and after 8 months proposed. A miraculous love story began. They were married on January 14, 1994. To this union they had two sons, Joshua Louis Bell in 1996 and Miller Elias Bell in 2000. Also, a special God-daughter Africa M. Wright in 1995 (niece). These three were the songs in his heart.
On March 23, 2023 approximately 6:20 P.M. Reginald Louis Bell peacefully slept away from this life to rest with The Lord Jesus Christ.
He leaves to cherish his memory and good times his wife of 29 years Linda Phillips Bell, sons Joshua and Elias and Africa his godchild, an uncle Rock Leroy Linwood of Denison TX, two brothers Curtis McKinney of VA and Marcus Epherian of Ca, his big Sis Cynthia Denise McKinney of Las Vegas. All his beloved nieces and nephews and cousins (his infamous question to you; “You got my money?”) he loved you dearly. His other family Linda’s siblings Gean, Peggy, Alice, Villie, Frances, James, Charles and Bobo, special childhood family Rockie, Trenell and Greg Williams, his beloved church family, work family, all his friends, supporters, and prayer warriors.
Reggie would say to us now, "you all just talk to The MAN upstairs and stay blessed".
LOVE LAST FOREVER
