

Robert Allen Gentz
Robert Allen Gentz passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at home in Palmdale, California after a brief battle with cancer. He was 65 years old and was honorably discharged from the United States Army. He was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin after which he became a long time resident of California. He was working as an Inventory Control Lead at Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). He worked at JPL for over 30 years and held many different certifications, some of which very few had.
Robert (Bob) will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, son, brother and a loyal friend. He loved his only daughter and treasured their trips to Dodger Stadium to watch the game. He liked listening to music, watching sports, reading, golfing and bowling. He loved gardening, planting herbs, tomatoes and flowers that his wife likes. He loved taking his wife on car rides during weekends and finding places to go on lunch dates, even if it just meant eating in the car looking at the outdoors.
He is survived by wife, Lorita Austria Gentz, daughter, Michelle, his parents Regis and Estella, brothers Randy (Nancy), David and numerous uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. He is thought of fondly by friends and co-workers. He will always be remembered as the man with the big infectious smile and a happy personality.
Joshua Memorial Park and Mortuary handled his funeral arrangements. A private celebration of life is planned in the near future. Rest in Peace Bob, We will terribly miss you!
