Robert Gabriel Westberg Jr.

Lancaster, California- Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great

grandfather Robert Gabriel Westberg Jr. Passed away May 20, 2023. He was

able to be surrounded by his loving family as he left his home on earth to take his

spot in heaven. He was reunited with the great love of his Life, Beverly, his

eldest daughter Janell, his mother and father, his 3 sisters and his only brother

who have all preceded him in death.

Robert was born in Mojave, California on May 6, 1939. He served in the

United States Army from 1958-1961, (Most of it spent in Northern Maine). He

would be the first to tell you that he saw enough snow in the army to last a

lifetime! He married his wife Beverly on December 16,1967. And together they

worked to grow an amazing family. He leaves behind nine of his kids and their

spouses Brain(Mary), Nancy, Richard(Kristi), Darrin(Kim), Kevin, Jared,

Caryn(Kevin), John(Betsy), Travis(Sherri), his 36 grandkids, and his 3 great

grandkids so far. It is safe to say, his Legacy will live on in the hearts of many. On

top of his biological family, he will also be missed by the many friends he made

that would become his extended family.

Robert was a missionary in many ways, he was always so excited to

spread his beliefs and his truths, however his favorite thing to spread was his

unconditional love and generosity. He was a member of the church of Jesus

Christ of Latter Day Saints and he was able to show all of the people in his family

what it truly means to be a light in people's lives.

No matter how hectic his life got he was ready to jump in and help

someone out. Some of his greatest attributes were his resilience and

perseverance. He was always working, whether he was at his job or serving in

the church he was always ready to tackle whatever tasks may lie ahead. No job

was too big or too hard for him; he was capable of almost anything. He may have

only been 5’2 but he always stood tall and had so much pride in all the work he

did. He was so proud of his family. Although he will be missed, we are all so

happy that he is being reunited with those who have passed before him. We

thank him for all his service and all he has taught us. We will hold on to his

teachings! “Until we meet again.”

A visitation for Robert will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints, 44330 27th St East, Lancaster, CA 93535. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 44330 27th St East, Lancaster, CA 93535. A graveside service will occur Friday, June 9, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, 808 East Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster, CA 93535.
