Roosevelt Anderson was born on February 11, 1959 in Los Angeles, California to the late Edward Anderson and Gladys Striglers. He was the fourth child to be born into this union.
Roosevelt was a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton in the late seventies when he met his then love Annette and Oh how she loved that man in Uniform.
In 1982 Roosevelt married Annette Malone in Pacoima, California. To this union two children were born Roosevelt and Nicole Anderson.
In 1989 Roosevelt moved his family to the Antelope Valley, California. He was employed by a company called Hensley and Surratt Construction Company staying there until he had an accident that left him disabled and unable to work. Roosevelt didn’t let his disability stop him, he restored his 56 Ford Panel truck, and he drove his truck even to the end. He loved to Fish yearly with his son Roosevelt and other relatives. They would take a trip to the Colorado River every year which always seemed to fall on their daughter Nicole’s birthday. In the later years, it became a three generation fishing trip to the local lakes with Father (Roosevelt), Son (Roosevelt), and Grandson (Roosevelt) and I’m sure if he kept living he would have made memories with his youngest grandson (Jeltz, Jr). As Roosevelt made memories with his granddaughter Shania, he didn’t miss a school or sports event of hers, he went to his grandchildren’s birthday celebrations, graduations and anything else they were involved in. He loved collectibles and antiques and just knew one day he would put Antiques Roadshow out of business .Roosevelt played Poker at Diamond Jim Casino in Rosamond, California at one point that was his second home, he always wanted to play at the final table. Well now Roosevelt you have made it to the Final Table. Roosevelt was a Family Man, he loved his Family and often went to Family Functions and he himself along with his wife Annette would host BBQ’s and Fish Fry’s at their house and it was a good time. Roosevelt wanted to move closer to their children and grandchildren because he always wanted to see them and spend time.
Roosevelt Anderson leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife, Annette Anderson ; his children, Roosevelt (Shatari) Anderson of California City, California, Nicole Anderson (Jeltz Walker, Sr) of Tehachapi, California, Rooschelle Anderson of Las Vegas, Nevada.
