

Taylor Benjamin Vogel, 24, of Lancaster, CA, died in an automobile accident on June 23, 2018 while returning to San Jose from San Francisco. His girlfriend of 17 months, Nila Chandra of San Jose, was with him and also died in the accident.
Taylor is survived by his parents Franklin Vogel of Lancaster, CA and Teresa Vogel of Kennesaw, GA; older sister Samantha Spoelstra and her husband Jon of Lancaster, CA; younger sister Amber Vogel of Kennesaw, GA, and his grandmother, Beatrice Vogel of Lancaster, CA. He is predeceased by his grandfather, Wayne Vogel of Lancaster, CA, and grandparents Felix and Patsy Snipes of Atlanta, GA.
Taylor was born in Lancaster on June 5, 1994 to Frank and Teresa Vogel. He attended Desert Christian School, and graduated from Quartz Hill High School in 2012. He grew up playing baseball and had a mean left arm. He attended High Point University, California State San Marcos, and was studying to be an electrical engineer at the University of California Santa Cruz. He always worked while carrying a full load in school. Taylor loved life and everyone in it.
Taylor was a loving son and brother, and always lit up any room he entered or any conversation of which he was a part. His sense of humor, positive attitude, caring heart, and winning smile were his main gifts. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held for family and close friends at 10:00 am on Monday, July 2 at the Sacred Heart Church, 565 West Kettering St., Lancaster, CA.
