Abriam Jared Montoya

With profound sadness, we announce the far too soon passing of Abriam “Abe” Montoya on October 10, 2024 in San Diego, CA, at the age of 35. Born on April 20, 1989 in Las Vegas, NV, Abe’s life was dedicated to service towards others.

Abe surprised everyone by announcing at the tender age of 17 that he wanted to join the United States Navy. He attended Naval Boot Camp in Illinois and started his 17-year career as an engineer. As an exceptional sailor, he was able to travel the world and touch the lives of numerous shipmates. Through hard work and leadership, he earned the rank of Chief at just 29 years old. Abe was always humble about his Naval accomplishments and always prioritized helping others.

Abe is survived and deeply missed by his wife, Jingjing; his parents, Earl & Cynthia Montoya; his older brother, Anthony, sister-in-law, Danielle, and nephews Julian & Nathan; his older brother, Adam & sister-in-law Rocio; his younger brother, Austin, sister-in-law, Nicole, and nephews Carter & William; and countless beloved family members and friends.

A funeral service to honor Abe’s life will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Palm Northwest in Las Vegas, NV. He will be laid to rest on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 11:20 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV, with full military honors – a fitting tribute to a man so dedicated to serving his country and community.

Abe left our hearts full of love and beautiful memories. He will be forever missed.
