Amelita Maloco Foronda

Amelita Maloco Foronda, called "Amy" by her family and friends, was born on March 3, 1961, in Manila, Philippines, of parents Agustin Baltazar Maloco Sr. and Josefina Lagrosa Maloco. She was eighth of nine Maloco children: Catalina "Kit", Agustin "Bebot", Alicia "Nang Aye", Aida "Da-Da", beloved Angelita "Angge"or "Angel", Adela "Del", Antonio "Boyet", and Arturo "Bamba". Most of her childhood took place in Manila, Philippines, where she attended grade school, as well as 3 years high school at St. Rita School. She continued her studies during high school senior year at St. Joseph Academy in Palawan, Philippines, where she graduated in 1978. During her high school years, she displayed her talent and love for volleyball. Her volleyball skills brought her to compete in STRAA, known as the Southern Tagalog Regional Athletics Association representing one of ten provinces of Southern Tagalog. Amy continued her studies by attending University of the East in Manila, Philippines. During Amy's college years, her beauty proved her to be naturally talented at modeling. She also took interest in becoming a flight attendant. She wanted to be adventurous. However, with Tatay's role as father, he continued to steer her back to her studies. In 1981, Amy was paid a visit from her sister, Kit, from America. Amy met her niece, Anne "Anita Bonita" and nephew, Abraham"Chabat-soy""Abe". Instantly, Abe fell in love with Amy, and Amy fell in love with Anne. On May 11, 1987, at the age of 26, she traveled to the United States of America along with her sisters and brothers. She resided in North Hollywood, California, with Nang Aye for a few years. In 1994, she was married. On March 7, 1997, she experienced a life changing moment...the birth of her son, Joseph Theodore "Theo". Since that time, she was dedicated to caring and loving him. In 2002, Amy moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Amy has been described as a loving mother, caring sister, friendly, great singer and ballroom dancer, fashionista, life of the party, joker, strong, caring, down to earth, and accepting of others.
