

Ann Terese Sweeney, 86, of Las Vegas, passed away on March 28, 2015. She was born on June 6, 1928 in Czechoslovakia. At the age of ten, Ann fled her homeland because of World War II and came to America to live with her aunt and uncle. A gifted dancer and nurturer, graduated high school in Cleveland, Ohio. She married the love of her life, Loren Sweeney, and they spent more than 50 years together in wedded bliss. She enjoyed working with her husband in a retail boat office and worked for many years for Eckerd drug stores. She loved knitting, playing bingo, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father, five brothers, one son; James Andrew Sweeney, mother-in-law Opal Sweeney, father-in-law James Regis, and a daughter-in-law, Susie Sweeney.
She is survived by her daughters Suzanne Baird and Kathleen Mary Haughey, three granddaughters; Bernadette Kathleen Bryant, Suzanne Sweeney Yanta, and Kathleen Brady, one grandson, Michael Vincent Baird, 8 great-grandchildren, and many good friends.
Ann will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. Rest in peace, Ann. You will remain in our hearts forever.
