His family is deeply saddened by his sudden passing but are finding solace in knowing that Tony, who was a devout Catholic his whole life, was welcomed into the gates of the heavenly Father by his loved ones that preceded him in death such as his mother and father, Giovanni and Mariana, his sister Joanna, and his first wife Anna, and his pet turtle Rosebud.
Tony was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He was a true “New Yorker” and very proud of his roots. He loved sharing stories of his childhood because they shaped him into being the honest, loyal, hardworking, funny, kind, caring, “in your face”, “tell it how it is” man he was all his life.
He was a member of the U.S. Navy boxing team and a reservist in the Army. He was a roofer as well as a Licensed Medical Masseuse. Some of his best memories included helping build landmarks such as the Empire State Building and several casinos in Las Vegas, where he moved to in 1988 like the stratosphere and caesars palace.
Tony is survived by his devoted wife of 13 years, Penny, his brother John, sister in law Rose Mary, nephews John Jr and Anthony, and his niece Joanna.
Interment will be held at Palm Northwest Mortuary. On Monday March 18, 2024 at 9am. In lieu of flowers, his family request donations to be made to St. Joseph's Children’s Hospital.
