

Archie Ann Fields, 101, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. A devoted nurse, community servant, and beloved family matriarch, Ann lived a full and meaningful life rooted in faith, service, and love.
Born on August 31, 1923, Ann was raised in Los Angeles, where she began her education at the Los Angeles Seventh-day Adventist Junior Academy, attending through the tenth grade. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, where her academic excellence led to her selection for the U.S. Army Cadet Nursing Corps. In 1942, she began her nurses' training at Los Angeles County General Hospital School of Nursing and X-Ray and proudly graduated in 1945.
Ann enjoyed a fulfilling and impactful career as a Registered Nurse, retiring in 1978. Her commitment to care and service continued well into retirement, as she volunteered with the American Red Cross teaching home nursing and remained actively involved in community affairs, politics, and civic engagement. She proudly served for 12 years with the Los Angeles County Commission on Aging representing the 2nd District and was a dedicated volunteer in the City of Lynwood.
A lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ann was deeply involved in her faith communities throughout her life. She was an active member of Wadsworth SDA Church in her youth and later Berean SDA Church in Los Angeles. After relocating to Las Vegas, she continued her ministry as a warm presence at Mountain View SDA Church, serving faithfully as a greeter and social committee member.
Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fletcher Fields; her daughter, Donna Renee Watson-Bell; her mother, Bobbie Hunter; her grandparents, Annie L. and Perry Hudson; her aunt, Irma L. Williams; her uncle, Archie Lyles; and her cousins, Archie Lyles Jr., Frank Lyles, and Flora Lyles.
She is survived by her loving grandchildren, George (Josette) Watson and Christine (Bennie Jr.) Harris; her cherished great-grandchildren, Justice George Watson, Cade Royce Harris, Alana Marie Watson, and Skylar Renee Harris; her cousins, Linda Gray and Eugene Lyles; and her second cousins, Joseph Lyles, AJ Lyles, and Rochelle Lyles. Ann is also remembered fondly by a host of extended family and friends whose lives were touched by her kindness, grace, and unwavering commitment to others.
Archie Ann Fields will be remembered for her tireless spirit of service, deep-rooted faith, and the love she so generously shared with all who knew her.
