Augurio Leocadio Martires, 85, a dentist, of Las Vegas, passed away on June 28, 2017. He was born on Oct 31, 1931 in Casiguran, Sorsogon, Philippines and had been a resident of Nevada since 1994. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Alejandro Martires. Augurio is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia; four children, Augurio Jr., Maribel (Rick), Clifton (Liza) and Dante (Benilda); seven grandchildren, Cjay, Chas, Megan, Lauren, Colin, Cayden, and Kristen Andie; a great-grandson, Camilo; six sisters, Virginia Castillo, Soteran Martires, Imeldqa Manalo, Mila Martires, Nora Corres and Teresita Martires; and a brother, Bonifacio Martires. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alejandro Martires. A visitation will be on Tuesday, July 11 from 3-7pm at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. A funeral mass on Wednesday, July 12 at 10am at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89117.
