

Barbara Ann Chambers was born on June 05, 1953, in Las Vegas, Nevada to the loving parents of James Givens Sr. and Ivran Wilson who both preceded her in death. Barbara was raised in a Christian home, and accepted Christ at a young age.
Barbara was one of 14 children; seven brothers and six sisters. Three brother preceded her in death Larry Wilson, Raydale Wilson, and Steven Wilson and four sisters preceded her in death Hazel Neal, Erma Norman, Nora Wilson, Robin Wilson, one step-son Dylan Lee and Gloria Watkins.
Barbara attended school here in the Las Vegas valley first Westside School and later Valley High School where she graduated.
Barbara met and married Claudie Chambers Jr. her loving and devoted husband of forty years, together they raised their family. She was a loving, devoted and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, daughter, and sister, who was always put her family's needs before her own.
Barbara was a caring, compassionate, kind and selfless individual. She had a humble spirit that enabled her to communicate and work well with people on all levels. She was well-respected and trusted by all who knew her. She was a role-model for the young people. Always encouraging them to serve God, do well, work hard, get a good education, and become the best person they could be. She worked at the Fremont Hotel and Casino for thirty-eight years. She was name the "Employee of the Month" and went on to receive the "Employee of the Year" in 1997. In the work place, Barbara conducted herself with Integrity, Dedication, and Character throughout every step of her Distinguished Career with the Fremont Hotel. Her work ethic was admirable, and she set
High Standards for her Peers, while working tirelessly for well over three decades until her retirement in 2016.
Barbara Ann Chambers, sixty-three, was a beloved sister, wife, mother and grandmother peacefully passed away on February 05, 2017. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 40 years Claudie Chambers Jr., her sons Tyrone Wilson, Denair Wilson, daughters Sharon Williams (David), Claunissia Wilson, step daughter Patrice Thompson all of Las Vegas, Nevada. Four brothers Woodrow Wilson (Belinda), James Givens Jr., Billy Wilson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Anthony Wilson (Lori) of California, two sisters Kathy Wilson and Sharon Wilson of Las Vegas, Nevada sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
