

Barbara Nancy Madrid, age 76 of Pueblo, went home February 6th 2025. Born December 13th,1948 in Pueblo, Colorado preceded in death by parents, Savino Cancino and Margaret Mata-Cancino both to whom later remarried; Isabel Cancino Mother-in-law and Leon Burton Father-in-law. Nancy had two older siblings brother Greg (lily) Cancino, Sister Roseanne (Paul) Hernandez-Diaz 2020, and five younger sisters Toni (Darryl) Cancino-Frates, Elisa (Mark) Cancino-Rodriguez, Lupe Cancino, Jessica (Perry) Cancino-NoIan, Janice (John) Cancino-Burton. Married Walter Madrid and had two children; William Madrid and Christopher Madrid and after relocating near Venice Beach California, had a son Gabriel Cancino and adopted her Grandson's Anthony Madrid and David Madrid; Great Grandchildren Raiden Madrid and Luella Madrid; she had numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends that she loved. A devoted worker she worked for Mountain Bell in Colorado before moving to California to work for Pacific Bell for over 25 years. She loved to ride her bike and was very athletic, playing co-ed sports weekly. Later in life moving to Las Vegas to retire and live out her final years watching Humming birds buzz by in the back yard until her passing February 6th 2025.
A celebration of life for Barbara will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Palm Mortuary Cheyenne, 7400 W Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129. An inurnment will occur Monday, August 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Roselawn Cemetery, 1706 Roselawn Road, Pueblo, CO 81006.
