Ben de Quiroz, 94, a retired (SH1 E-6)United States Ship Serviceman Petty Officer First Class passed away on July 20, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born on March 26, 1922 in the Philippines and he has been a resident of Las Vegas, NV for 21 years. He had a combined military and federal civil service of 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and nine siblings. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Purita de Quiroz; his four children, Raymond, Glenn, Edwin and Jean de Quiroz; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one on the way; a brother; two sisters, his extended family, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27th from 3-7pm at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S Jones Blvd. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 28th at 10am and the burial will be held on Friday, July 29th at 12 noon at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
