On December 23, 2012, Bernadan Kirk, 94, of Las Vegas entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born June 14, 1918, in Omaha, Ne and resided in Las Vegas for 51 years. She was a retired auditor with a local retail company. She used her retirement years to pursue her love of gardening. She was an exceptional fisher-woman and also loved raising beautiful roses. She was an expert on raising poultry and produce, providing expertise to children and grandchildren in her later years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Norman Kirk and by her granddaughter, Euressa Sheffield. She is survived by five daughters, Norma (Neal), Mary, Shirley (Hartley), and Ruth (Leo) of Las Vegas and Carolyn of Mesquite, NV; two sons, Dwight (Lynn) of Pahrump, NV, and John (Kathy) of Salem, Or; 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Bunker Cemetery on W. Lone Mountain Rd.
