Bernard F Hirschboeck

Bernard Hirschboeck, 80, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024. He was born on February 28, 1943 to Valerie Hirschboeck and Dennis McGuirl. Bernie’s biological father passed before his birth and he was raised by Valerie and Clarence Hirschboeck in Chicago, IL. He was a long time resident of Downers Grove, IL and relocated to Las Vegas, NV in 2002. Bernie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Paulette (Borlick), and his children; Cynthia (Mike) Castaneda, Michael (Suzanne) Hirschboeck, Shawn Hirschboeck, Kelly (Joseph) Banchero and his grandchildren; Molly Hirschboeck and Giovanna and Gino Banchero. He is also survived by his sisters; Karen (Richard) Korbas, Denise (John) Hynek and Gayle (Kevin) Healy and was preceded in death by his brothers; Dennis (Jacqueline) Hirschboeck and David (Stephanie) Hirschboeck. The family would like to send heartfelt thanks to the caretakers and staff at The Grand Montecito Memory Care facility in Las Vegas as well as the staff at Brighton Hospice for their love and care for Bernie. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd at 10am at St. Mary of Gostyn Church in Downers Grove, IL.
