

Betty Ruth Pellerin (Pickett), 77 of Dayton, TN passed away Thursday October 1st, 2020 in Las Vegas, NV. She was born on Dayton Mountain, Dayton TN on November 22, 1942. She was preceded in death by her parents William Fred Pickett of Dayton and the Annie Muriel Long (Morgan) of Graysville, TN.
Betty was also preceded in death by her husband Clarence “Ed” Pellerin of 36 years on 03/27/20 of Dayton TN; sisters Helen Faye (Thom) Thurman of Las Vegas NV and Carol Ann (Robert) Jones of Dayton, TN; brothers James Earl Pickett and Billy Ray (Joann) Pickett both of Battle Creek, MI; son Tommy (Gwen) Howard and daughter Ann Marie Clark both of Atlanta, GA; niece Jeannie Kay (Jim) Fortier of Las Vegas, NV and nephew Billy David Reed of Evansville, TN.
Betty moved to Battle Creek, MI from
Dayton, TN with her parents when she was young. She would eventually marry and have 4 kids. She met her husband Ed in Las Vegas and enjoyed a long life together where she worked in retail and in the casino industry. They moved “home” to Dayton in 2009. She enjoyed raising her grandkids with Ed. Her hobbies included oil painting, gardening, and other crafts. She loved listening to “good old country music” and spending time with her sister Lottie.
She is survived by her sister Charlotte “Lottie” (the late Ed) Reising of Dayton TN; daughters Tammy Howard (Jack Dixon) of Las Vegas, NV and Lori (Len) LeBlanc of Jacksonville, FL. She has numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who she loved very much.
