

Bobbie “'Sue” Clifton, 86, of Las Vegas passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017. Sue was born in Houston, Texas on September 14, 1930 to Robert Lee Middleton & Zeffie Sue Parmley and was a 51 year resident of Las Vegas. Sue had a long career managing gift shops beginning with the International, the Dunes and Riviera Hotels then the Gift Tree across from the Stardust and finally the White Tiger gift shop at the Mirage where she worked the swing shift until she was 78 years old. Sue would have continued working but the shop closed after Roy Horn of Siegfried & Roy was tragically injured which ended their show. Sue was a faithful UNLV basketball supporter and season ticket holder for many years. A devoted fan she traveled with the team to Australia, Hawaii, Quebec & Montreal Canada for pre-season tournaments. A loving wife, mother, grandmother of eight, Christy Dorton (Jimmy), Taylor Walker (Yvonne), USAF Master Sergeant Sean Patterson (Gabriela), Erik Wood, Erin Wood, Chellse Clifton, Cody Clifton (Brittany) and Savanah Clifton; great-grandmother of four, Tabitha Denlinger, Garrett Clifton, Gigi and Camille Patterson; and a great-great grandmother of one, Renley Naas. Sue was preceded in death by her husband Claude 'Cliff' Clifton, daughter Angela Leigh Clifton, Aunt Leah Williams and her parents. Sue is survived by her brother, Larry (Carol Ann) Middleton of Houston, Texas; daughters, Cherie (Gary) Wood, Desiree (Pat) Walker, Leah (Baird) Berglund and son, Claude R. Clifton, III (Sheila); two nieces, Sonya Schluens (John) and Kaye Thorpe, a long-time family member, Ken Patterson and extended family members. A viewing will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with services beginning at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 9th. Both services will be at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. The burial will follow at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
