Brian was a diligent golfer at Angel Park.We all looked forward to seeing his  beautiful smile and warm spirit each week. We are all so saddened by this devastating news. He will be greatly missed.

So much to say about Brian...
His smile was priceless. He was always ready to stop what he was doing to listen .
 His usual "JP, what's up???" and his genuine hand shake every time I was getting to work was a piece of Brian's love that was lightening up my night: What a nice vibe to carry with you for the rest of your shift!  

Brian had a few passions that I knew about.He was very proud of his daughters and loved them dearly.He loved dogs. He loved the ocean so much ,especially going to San Diego because it was the closest place that reminded him of Hawaii.
He made work an happy place, never blamed me for my errors but always ready to fix the mess with simplicity and calm.God knows that he saved my butt a few times and I am thankful for that.He never asked to be thanked which was a demonstration of a loving soul in action.   
Brian was also a good communicator because he had the power to listen and talk in a smooth and warm way. I guess his years as a basketball coach helped him later in his career as a supervisor.

I can't still believe or understand why he was taken away from this plane but I do keep
his human qualities in my heart and mind and will add them to my own character as a part of never forgetting who he was.
I crossed many people in my life. I do take interest in successfull people . Only a few are like mentors or teachers to me. Life brought Brian on my path for a reason :to teach me the lesson that the heart has to be cultivated as much as the mind. Appreciate your life and others and show it.

I have been mouring the loss of my very dear friend and co-worker every day .Thinking about many good times we played jokes on each other and other co-workers,the times we would make plans to have food on tuesdays and many other events, my heart is broken but i will always have wonderful thoughts of him .Fun loving he was and wittie he will truly be missed by many ,heavenwill not be the same now that he is there........Frank Hardaway

I have no words. Kobe was like my family... I could tell him anything, cry to him whenever I needed someone, or go to him for a laugh at anytime. My heart aches every second of every day for him and my heart goes out to his family. I truly feel an emptiness inside and nothing can fill this. Only time and the memories of the time we shared can ease the pain slightly. I will miss you Kobe, always.

Thank you all so much for the love and support of my father. He was very loved by his family and his family at Bellagio. This is a very hard time for all of us, and I know he is watching down on us now and is smiling and laughing. He loved all of us so much. I cannot stop thinking about everything he has done for me and my sister, and all of the traditions we will carry on without him. I am so deeply saddened I feel like I'm losing my mind without him, I keep waiting for him to call, or text me. But I know that he is still here in my heart, in all of our hearts, and will remain with us until we meet again. 

To everyone who sees this, again thank you for all the love and support. If you don't already know, I would love if you came to my Dad's service, it is at Palm Mortuary on Jones and Oakey, the service is Friday October 7th (tomorrow) 11am-1pm. Dress casual, and colorful, this event is a Celebration of my Father's life, and all of the good times we shared.

I was deeply sad to hear of Brian's sudden passing away.  My sympathy and thoughts are with you and your family.  Diane Kato (second cousin)

Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel about Brian's passing. He was always a joy to be around. Work was so much fun because of Brian. Such a prankster he was. Brian has such an infectious laugh that we will all miss so terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with his family in this most difficult time. I know he loved them tremendously. Without him the world will be dimmer as he brightened it up.

my heart is heavy for you, brian, your family and loved ones.  i will be there friday to share the aloha of your passing.  i am mindful of our last minutes together upon my clocking out of work on saturday.  as per usual, there was joking and personal interaction going on between us.  this is not the forum to share that moment, but the memory of it is dear to me now as i write this memorial to you.  i can only say, 'mahalo nui loha' for being who you are.  aloha, bruddah dean

The last few days I have spent thinking about every memory I had of Brian. They all involved joking around, making fun of each others sports teams, and talking about our kids. Brian was there for me when my life was at its worst. One of those points when you realize who your true friends are. His wisdom, friendship and sense of humor will never be forgotten. I always, always looked forward to his comebacks when I made fun of the 49ers. One of my favorite memories with Brian was going to a UNLV/Hawaii basketball game. I was wearing my UNLV stuff, he was wearing Hawaii gear. The game was close start to finish and when we weren't yelling and pointing at each other (i.e. In your face!), we we're high fiving each other. I really cannot put into words what a good person Brian Kobayashi was, just as I cannot imagine what a terrible loss this is for his family and his other friends. We all share a common bond though. For a brief moment we were all truly blessed to have Brian Kobayashi in our presence. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family.

With deepest condolences to the Kobayashi family. Although I haven't seen Brian in many years now, I did have many years working with him and he was always the most genuine and sweet man. The proud look he had on his face when he talked of his wife and girls was priceless. Shannon Sharpe put into words, beautifully, what a whole lot of people are feeling too. He will be missed.

Words do an injustice in explaining how much we will miss Brian. He will remain very alive in our memories. My heart is filled with sadness we can no longer hear his laughs. He was the most down to earth supervisor that I have ever worked with. I will miss his smile his constant jokes. I came across a poem that just made me think of Brian and our Bellagio family.

We little knew the day that
