

Bruno Michael Mezzacappa, 77, died Thursday, April 26, 2012, in Centennial Hills Hospital, Las Vegas, Nevada. Bruno was born in the town of Monacilioni, Province of Campobasso, Italy and, in 1947, at the age of 12, came to the United States along with his mother and two brothers to join his father, who had settled in Staten Island before them. Bruno was a graduate of St. Peter's Boy's High School and, prior to his retirement to Las Vegas with his wife, Josephine, in 1987, worked in Manhattan as a loan officer for Morgan Guaranty Trust Company (and later J.P. Morgan & Co.) for over 32 years. Bruno was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather ("Nonno") who cherished time spent with his family. In his leisure time, Bruno enjoyed watching soccer, football and baseball, tinkering around the house and visiting the local casinos. Bruno is predeceased by his wife, Josephine Ann Mezzacappa (nee Rufolo), and is survived by his daughter, Debra Bruno, his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Liz Mezzacappa, and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Dr. Carmine and Maria Mezzacappa and Frank and Lenore Mezzacappa. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Ashley and Carlo Bruno and Sophia and Mariana Mezzacappa.
