Bryan Durant, born on September 9, 1965 in Fullerton, California, passed away on June 3, 2025 at Mountainview Hospital in Las Vegas. His life journey led him from his early roots in California to the communities of Granite Falls and Monroe, Washington, and eventually to North Las Vegas where he made an enduring impact.
A lifelong patriot, Bryan served honorably in the United States Army from 1991 to 2000, earning the respect of his peers as a Sergeant. He served in the US as well as tours in Germany, Kosovo, Bosnia and Iraq. His commitment continued with his role in the Army National Guard while he also worked as a military government contractor, and later through his service in the Citizen’s Air Patrol in both Las Vegas and Washington State earning the rank of Major.
Though Bryan maintained a composed and reserved nature in his public demeanor, those close to him knew the depth of his heart. His care was expressed through quiet, steadfast actions that spoke louder than overt words, and his love for family and friends shone clearly in every thoughtful gesture he made. His enduring dedication was most evident in his role as a father, with his daughter, Brianna being his proudest achievement.
Bryan leaves behind his beloved daughter, Brianna Durant, his devoted mother, Pauline Durant and his cherished siblings, Dottie Simoni, Cindy Johnson and Ralph Durant. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Durant, and his younger brothers, Howard and Aubrey Durant.
Beyond his military service, Bryan was a passionate entrepreneur. He owned Hi-Def Dance Academy, operated Southwest Protection Services, and was Owner/President of BAT Equipment Service, Inc. ventures that showcased his dynamic spirit and industrious nature. When he wasn’t serving his community or leading his businesses, Bryan delighted in the timeless energy of 70’s and 80’s rock music, camping, car restoration, treasured movie outings with his daughter, and the personal satisfaction of engaging in home improvement projects.
