Carl David Marcello

Carl D. Marcello, 53, passed away on January 8, 2011, in his home in Las Vegas, NV. He was a beloved father, husband and friend who will be missed dearly by many. Carl was born on October 1, 1957 in Providence, RI to Carl and Antonetta Marcello. Carl attended La Salle High School in Providence, RI. He continued his education at Bryant College, in Smithfield, RI, graduating in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He went on to become the Principal and Executive Vice President of the Foundry Corporate Center in Providence, RI. Carl relocated to Las Vegas, NV in 1996 where he founded Las Vegas Development Company, a full service commercial real estate development and brokerage firm. Carl is survived by his wife Csilla “Sheila” Marcello, his three children, Giana, Anthony and Deana, and his brother Thomas C. Marcello and wife Gail and daughter Amy. Visitation will be from 3-7 pm Wednesday, January 12, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, January 13, at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic, 3050 Alta Drive. Carl will be laid to rest at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Cranston, Rhode Island. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carl’s memory may be made to Nevada Cancer Institute.
