Carol A. Hester

Carol Ann Hester was born on January 29, 1938 at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Her parents were Carl and Minnie. Carol was raised in Chicago, Illinois. Carol was raised with six siblings. She had four brothers, Jerry, Bob, Carl, and Art and two sisters, Beverly and Dolores. On December 9, 1961, Carol exchanged wedding vows with Charles Hester at the Justice of the Peace of Chicago, Illinois. Carol was blessed with six children, one son, Chuck, and five daughters, Ella, Barbara, Joann, Janet, and Sandie. They were also blessed with eighteen grandchildren, Brian, Lisa, Kenneth, Joshua, Katie, Rebecca, Sonya, Jonathon, Amanda, Moriah, Dan, Scott, Jesse, Brittany, Stephanie, Susan, Nicole, and Patricia, She also had 14 great-grandchildren, Madeleine , Jayden, Cale, Jaxson, Hannah, Kaylee, Serenity, Jesse, Dylan, Jacob, Natalie, Madison, Makayla, and Azayha. Carol had the ability to stay calm and the determination to do what was necessary to get the job finished, traits that helped her enjoy sports. Recreational sports included bowling. Carol was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following her favorite events whenever she got the opportunity. Tops on her list were the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. Carol passed away on February 14, 2014 at Las Vegas, Nevada. She is survived by her children, Ella (Kevin), Chuck, Barbara, Joann (Tony), Janet, and Sandie; her 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services were held at Palm Northwest Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada. Carol was laid to rest in the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.
