Damon Paul Harris, a gentle and loving soul, passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 84. Born on October 2, 1940, in Missouri, Damon moved with his family to Las Vegas at the age of four. It was there he grew up and began building a life full of love, friendship, and quiet joy.
Damon was a private and reserved man, yet those who knew him best saw the warmth of his heart, his quick wit, and his deep devotion to his family. He was a man of many passions—an avid fisherman, a lover of classic cars, a camper who enjoyed the outdoors, and a motorcycle enthusiast who took many memorable road trips with his beloved wife, Barbara, by his side. He also loved traveling in his motorhome, especially when those road trips gave him the chance to visit his children. Damon delighted in good food, laughter, and the simple pleasures of life.
For the past 20 years, Damon made his home in Panaca, Nevada, where he retired and embraced the small-town lifestyle he loved. He enjoyed the quiet beauty of the area, his many hobbies, and the friendships he built there. Some of his happiest years were spent cruising and enjoying retirement with Barbara.
Damon was preceded in death by Barbara, his wife of more than 30 years, as well as his stepdaughter, Teresa Garvin.
He is survived by his son Jeff Harris of Las Vegas and his wife Misha; grandsons Alex (wife Tori), Matthew (husband Frankie), and Aaron; his son Patrick Harris and his wife Mary; and his son Jared Harris. He is also survived by his stepdaughter Jodi Mullis and her husband Lee, and their children Ariel, Ashley, and Alan; and his stepson Brian Leming.
Damon will be remembered for his quiet strength, his kind soul, and above all, the love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
