Donald Anthony De Motta Sr.

July 25, 1942- January 24, 2021

Died at 78, after Battling Lung Cancer for 2 months and 8 days.

Survive by his wife Marylin “Maryellen” De Motta, son; Bernard George De Motta, daugther; Cheyenne Mae De Motta, and from first marriage; Eva Marie Mahealani De Motta and Donald Anthony De Motta. Jr., brothers; Stanley George De Motta and Thomas De Motta from Vallejo, California, many nephews and nieces. Step children; Clarence & Jimmy Nascimento, Walter Morreira and Roger Nascimento and Child like brother/friend Richard Nunes and Alfredo Raquedan.

Don is the 4th child of George De Motta & Alice Carvalho, both deceased, and sibling of Shirley De Motta Schones and Jeanette De Motta La Pointe both deceased. He attend first year to third year High School in Kailua High, Hawaii and graduated senior year at Castle High School, in Kaneohe Hawaii. He was drafted to the Army Branch in 1961 and assigned to Supply Clerk and later was send to Pusan, Korea where he work as Postmaster Clerk and later became Army Reserve at Schofield Barracks, Oahu Hawaii. After his service to our country, he volunteered to the Hawaii Civil Defense and member of CB- Citizens Band Club. Although he’s not in service anymore, he continued defending our freedom. He experienced many type of job and finally became Golf Cart and Equipment Mechanic at Hawaii Kai Golf Course. He was also the Union Stewart for Local 368, “Hawaii Labor Union” He earned many years of service and later retired.

In 2006, Don and his family move to Las Vegas, Nevada. Where he enjoyed his retirement. He love to watch wrestling, sports, cops and especially cowboy movies, he sang or play karaoke on occasions and also enjoyed listening to classic country music, but most enjoyed spending quality time with his family. On especial occasions, he would dine out with love one’s and friends. His arms are opened wide to anyone in need. He is a loving, forgiving and at times witty husband, father, brother and friend that made him charming and loved. He will be missed forever!
