

Donald R. Schroerlucke, 71, passed away on the morning of September 15, 2025, accompanied by his wife, Sara Schroerlucke, in Woodbridge, VA. He was born in Louisville, KY on December 27, 1953. He had a twin brother, Ronald, who passed away in 2015. Don was a loving husband to his wife of 44 years, Sara; and a devoted father to David. He is survived by his two sisters, Laverne and Becky and his twin brother’s family: Teressa, sister-in-law, and their four children. A devoted husband, father, and friend, Don was known for his quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering integrity.
After high school, Don went into the US Army and served several tours in Europe, specifically, Germany and Turkey, and stationed in other Army bases within the US. He spent a combined 42 years in the Army and worked in the Department of Defense as a communications/network administrator and touched many lives through his strong work ethic and loyalty. He enjoyed fishing, sports, travel, outdoors and spending time with family.
A Life of Dedication
Throughout his life, Don showed a strong dedication to family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to cross his path. His quiet demeanor was seen as a source of strength, comfort, and his wisdom guided many through life's challenges. Whether through personal challenges, professional accomplishments, or simple acts of kindness, his legacy will remain as one of quiet service, dedication and love. His solid presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain forever in our hearts.
Those closest to him will always remember the cherished moments spent together: the shared meals, great trips filled with laughter, and many joyful birthdays, holidays and graduation(s) and other celebrations. Don’s memory will live on in the stories we share and the lessons they taught us.
Celebration of Life
A Visitation will be held in Las Vegas, NV on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with Funeral Service taking place on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11:00am, to honor and celebrate Don’s amazing life. Both will be held at Palm Mortuary - Downtown, 1325 N. Main St. Las Vegas, NV 89101. He will be laid to rest at Palm Downtown Cemetery on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 1:00pm. All are welcome to join in remembrance, share memories, and pay tribute to a truly wonderful individual.
May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy will live through the love he gave and the lives he touched.
