

Dwain A. Hinskey, 67, a long-time resident of Benson Arizona, passed away peacefully March 16, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born March 26, 1946 in Saginaw, Michigan to Arnold August Hinksey and Gertrude Elizabeth Manchester. After high school, Dwain went on to graduate from Point Loma Nazarene University with a degree in Theology and earned his Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. Dwain A. Hinskey: Pastor, Teacher, Santa Helper, Husband, Father, Papa and Friend, was a man of integrity whom had a passion for being active in his community. Dwain pastored for 37 years in California, Idaho and Arizona; taught high school history for 11 years at Benson High School in Benson, Arizona; and was a Santa Helper and member of The Order of Real Bearded Santas. Throughout his life, he had the opportunity to touch many lives, and made a positive impact on every life he touched. Dwain was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Gertrude; and two brothers David and Daniel Hinskey. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Melody; son Peter Hinskey; daughters: Katherine (Ruben) Benavidez and Elena (Harry); Forehand; grandchildren: Joshua Mecham, Marah Hinskey, Madison Hinskey, Isabella Benavidez, Joseph Hinskey, Meghan Hinskey, Jessica Hinskey, James Leach, Jaelanne Carillo, Jeanette Velasquez, Janine Perry, Jackie Yelton, Harry Forehand IV, Faith Forehand; five Great-grandchildren; several brothers and sisters in law; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held at Benson Public School Campus All-Purpose room March 29, 2014 at 3:00 pm located at 360 S Pattagonia, Benson, Arizona 85602. A time for greeting the family will be at Benson Church of Our Savior, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of the following: Benson Staff Scholarship Fund, Benson Church of Our Savior, or Nathan Adelson Hospice.
