

As a child he joined Lindsey Springs, MBC. After graduating from Kilmichael High School in 1968, he joined the U.S. Airforce on February 7th, 1969, where he worked as a plane engineer. He served his country with pride, earning the rank of Master Sergeant. After retiring from the military in 1992, he moved to Las Vegas, NV, where he remained until his death.
On October 12, 1987, while in Ipswich, England, he met and married Christine Bird. Dirt lived his life to the fullest. Not only were his surroundings clean, but he was always a sharp dresser. He knew how to put together a suit with shoes and a hat to match. Dirt was loved by his family and he loved his family. He would always say "There's a burglar in the house" when the boys would come over. He also loved himself some Golden Corral.
Dirt was getting tired of the troubles of this world. His thoughts resonated with Psalm 55:6, "Oh if I had wings like a dove! I will fly away and be at rest." On March 30, 2026, He received his new set of orders. These orders were not like any other orders that he had ever received, God's orders. "Master Sgt. Gary, Dirt, it's time." He put a smile on his face and saluted this world goodbye.
1 ac was preceded in death by his wife Christine, his parents, his son Rueben, his four sisters and
five of his six brothers. His memory lives through the lives of his sons: Dionne Gary. Marcus Gary
Celcle and Terrell Gary, all of Las Vegas, NV. Six grandchildren, one brother William Gary of Jackson, MS. He also leaves to cherish the memories of him are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins. and friends.
