Edward “Ed” Eustace Keller of Las Vegas, NV passed away on Jan 7, 2017 at his home with his beloved wife Mildred B. Keller by his side. Ed was born in Cleveland, OH on Dec 1, 1928 to Edward Ferdenand Keller and Emma Pauline Keller (Klaphake). Ed began working very young and had been a carpenter, machinist and diesel machanic. Ed served in the Navy aboard the USS McCoy Reynolds (DE-440) from1950 -1953 before discharge. He then met the love of his life and true partner in all, his wife, who survives him, “Millie”. Ed & Millie were married on Jan 7, 1956 in Los Angeles, CA. Ed worked for North American Aviation working on building fighter planes before being transferred to Rocketdyne to work on rocket engines. He has always enjoyed working with his hands and being creative. He later transferred to CA Dept of Water and Power for a number of years. He put all of his accumulated skills together with his wife’s talents & they moved to South Lake Tahoe, to ventured into the franchise world with an automotive parts store (Western Auto) and a bicycle shop along with 2 distributorships. They spent what little free time they could find singing with their church choir and performing for the community. They really enjoyed their time working and playing together in South Lake Tahoe, but eventually decided to make another move branching into the real estate market. Placerville, CA & real estate was their final stop before retirement and they were involved in development and building as well as selling real estate. Retirement found them moving to Las Vegas to be near family and they have spent their last ten years here enjoying the sun and warmth and their ability to just spend time together. Ed was an active member of the Knights of Columbus; Catholic War Veterans USA, Inc – Our Lady of Peace, Post 1947; USS McCoy Renyolds (DE-440) Shipmate Reunion Group; and an Usher for St. Joseph Husband of Mary Roman Catholic Church.
