

Ethel Lee Briscoe (Saunders) was born September 2nd, 1935 to Louise & Henry Briscoe in Cary MS., both of whom preceded her in death along with her sister Ruby Lee & nephew Roosevelt Lee. Early in her life, she lived in Detroit Ml., where she attended school. In 1960 Ethel relocated to California.
Ethel Briscoe met Earl Saunders during a visit to Las Vegas, NV. Upon completing his duty to the military, Earl pursued reconnection with Ethel, & they were married in May of 1967. Ethel & Earl purchased a home in Carson, CA. to this union they were blessed with their son Earl Jr in 1968.
Ethel was employed by the Martin Luther King Hospital in Los Angeles for 30+ years. She served in the Department of Nursing & Utilization Review. After retirement in 2005, she & Earl returned to Las Vegas, NV, where they first met, & purchased their dream home.
Ethel was a faithful follower of Christ at Victory Baptist Church, Las Vegas, NV. & later became a member until her health prevented her attendance in person services.
Ethel was an avid traveler who expressed joy while dancing. Some of Ethel's best memories were spent with family & friends seeing shows, entertaining, & taking in what Vegas has to offer. Ethel's generosity knew no bounds & she often took in others in her community who were in need. Ethel always thought of others before herself. Ethel was an enthusiastic sports fan with her favorite being basketball.
Ethel's spirit & legacy live on through her son Earl Jr, granddaughter Trinity Saunders, dedicated nephew Gregory Saunders, all of California, niece Jackie Lee of Las Vegas NV & a host of other family & friends.
