Eufrosino Martinez Domingo, 76, of North Las Vegas, Nv., formerly of Kahului, Maui, passed away peacefully while in hospice care, on September 13, 2018.

Eufrosino was born on March 27, 1942 in Rosales, Pangasinan, Philippines, the child of Joaquin Domingo and Magdalena Martinez. Eufrosino and his three siblings (Dionisio “Danny”, Alejandro “Serio” and Segunda “Maria”) grew up in Urdaneta, attending school, catching fish in the fields and planting camote and eggplant. Eufrosino was a voracious reader and did well in school, eventually earning an engineering degree from National University in Manila.

Eufrosino married Carlita Barrientos in 1970 and they settled into a home in Kahului, Maui. They raised three kids (Erich, Corinne and Eufrey) and were active in the Filipino community, being involved with organizations such as the Pangasinan Association of Maui, Binhi at Ani, and the Maui Filipino Community Council of Hawai’i. Eufrosino worked for twenty-six years at Hawaiian Commercial and Sugar Company as a chemical engineer.

In 2006, Eufrosino and Carlita retired to North Las Vegas, where they went to the casinos, enjoyed the buffets and spent time with family. Carlita passed away in 2007 and years later, Eufrosino reconnected and remarried an old friend from the Philippines, Estelita Alvear.

Eufrosino will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving father, who enjoyed watching sports, reading books and throwing dice at Main Street Casino.
